Whytney is in Athens, Greece today; the capital city of Greece. The city were democracy was born and very often referred to as a magical city. Here is were you will find the Acropolis of Athens. One of the most famous archaeological monuments in Europe. The Acropolis dates back to 5th BC during the Golden Age of Periklis. Maybe Whtytney will have a chance to visit this famous landmark?
She was able to get off of the ship yesterday in Ephesus and have lunch. In fact, she found a restaurant that I did not find in my research, Burger King! Who new that you could get a Whopper in Turkey! I know that she probably enjoyed a little "taste" of home!
Today, back at home, we embark on the 4th of July weekend - not many plans for us??? The grill is down, so no bbq! Maybe we will enjoy a quite time at the house? I think that both Pete and myself are tired from a very busy week. I wish we could be with Whytney enjoying Athens on this beautiful day. She should know that our hearts are certainly with her.
66 days til we will be able to spend a day or two with her. Between now and then, I pray that she will have a great time experiencing a diverse people and taking in a variety of the Mediterranean sights.
