I thought everybody would like to see Whytney dressed for the most recent Masquerade Ball.  I have just recently learned how to put pictures in to these posts!  Yes, I am somewhat technologically challenged. This fact has most recently been reinforced with the purchase of my new phone; a blackberry! It took the poor salesgirl about an hour to show me only the necessities - we barely scratched the surface.  I only realized this upon leaving the store and making my first call.  I could barely hear the voice on the other end because I had no idea how to turn up the volume!  My point is made.

On to Florence today - here is a sample of what Whytney might be able to see:

Today, it is predicted to be 88 degrees in Italy - quite warm.  Whytney will find Florence to be quite impressive in the "art" department - boasting many world-class museums.  If she has the time and energy, a nice little hike could be in order to visit Piazzale Michelangelo.  From here, she could see the Florence skyline and catch a glimpse of many beautiful bridges in the city.  Also, she could see the Statue of David in the center plaza; keeping in mind that this is a replica of Michelangelo's.

I would suggest visiting the Science Museum and looking through Galileo's first telescope.  How cool would that be?  Or, taking a walk just outside Florence to go through the rose garden.

Many lovely places in Florence - in a nutshell; you may want to visit this video to take a look:

Hopefully Whytney will be able to take a chance to go in to Florence to at least get a nice meal. Food in Florence is looked at as a work of art.  I am sure that she will appreciate the following picture - her favorite food:
I am sure that the pizza in Florence - is like none other in the world!  It sure looks good!

Today we are at day 62 and exactly two months to the day that Whytney will disembark for a plane home (well via London).  I hope that she enjoys these little silly blogs from her mom and hope that they give her something to look forward to and maybe a little chuckle occasionally?  She certainly knows how much I love her, miss her, and carry her with me each day.
