Yeah! A day off.....Whytney's list probably looks something like this:
1. Sleep in
2. Sleep more
3. Cafe for coffee
4. Doze a little
5. Get FOOD!
6. Mykonos, Greece
7. More FOOD!
8. Shop
9. SLEEP
I may not have put enough sleeping on the list, however, I think that she has been sacrificing sleep to read? Certainly, whatever her list looks like today, I hope that she has one of the best days ever in one of the most beautiful places ever.
To update Whytney about Bowling Green, and Gram in particular....She is out-of-control! All over town in the Camry, grilling on her new grill, getting her garage cleaned out, where do I begin?! We started out yesterday in the garage and Gram got rid of a lot of things that she wanted to, however, they ended up in the back of my RAV4 - we joked that it was a test to see just "how much could we get in the back of the RAV"? Let's just say, I will have to unload on Friday AFTER Daddy goes to work!
Gram, Kendall and I then went out to get some lunch - at the Olive Garden! Sorry, I know that you would love to go - it was good - but they don't quite have the system down yet. The food was pretty good though. On the way there, Gram pulled out by the minute mart and squealed the tires! I joked with her that she was certainly going to be on the blog for that - again "out of control"!
Rob joined us for lunch - he didn't eat (only an occasional bread stick) - but, we had a very nice visit! Him and your sister were quite humorous. We shared with Rob that when we go to Louisville (Mid July) that we are having Kendall attend a Fashion Camp at the Summitt. During the camp, she will have a professional stylist help her identify the best style for her and she will attend an etiquette lunch. She is, of course, not totally thrilled with this idea and the only saving grace is that at the end of the camp, she will receive a 40 dollar gift card for the Summitt. At lunch, she was telling Rob that she "had a wall" and would not "let it down" - he told her to go to the camp and listen to everything that they said. That she would learn a lot and she could probably use much of the information. And then when she came out that she could tell me that "it was the worst thing she had ever done"! She enjoyed that - and I think that helped her to accept that situation better! I hope anyway....I know that she would prefer NOT to do it.
For dinner the last two nights, Gram has grilled for us; ribeyes on Tuesday and hamburgers/hot dogs last night. Her grill is amazing - an new infrared stainless beauty! It cooks so fast and the food is fabulous...you would be out there ALL the time. Tim and Andrew joined us for dinner last night and we had such a good time in conversation. Tim is excited that you will be in Greece - he traveled there this past January with some of the Gatton students. He said it was an amazing place. He will be traveling from Italy, France, and end up in Barcelona next January. I am so envious of you both....
Back to Mykonos....according to mythology - supposedly Heracles killed the giants here and the big rocks around the island are their corpses! Interesting theory...
Whytney may choose to do a little shopping while in Mykonos. If she goes to Zouganeli Street, she can kind many locally made items. One unique shop makes beauty products from Olive Oil, The Olive Oil Shop, appropriately named, would be an interesting place to visit. Lots of shops that make cheeses, sausages, and sweets and cakes made of almonds are also available.
Hopefully, Whytney will be able to spend her day off relaxing and rejuvenating in Mykonos. I hope she will take some pictures that include not only the sights in Greece, but also, her!
Only 68 days to go - and my excitement is growing! I will continue to update you on Whytney's travels and activities!
