Barcelona and a new cruise

Whytney is ported in Barcelona Spain today to pick up another cruise full of passengers!

I am unsure if she will be able to get off of the ship today.  Maybe she will, so many beautiful things to see in Spain.  I was able to visit Madrid and Toledo (a long time ago) but remember Spain to be such a lovely place.  Nice people as well.

She could visit the Palau de la Música Catalana:

This is one of the most exquisite music rooms in the world.  Maybe Whytney will be able to catch a quick concert???

Better yet; Museu Picasso.  A museum devoted to Picasso! Picasso spent several years in Barcelona when he was beginning to embark on his artistic career.  There are displays here of childhood sketches, Rose and Blue period pictures and variations of Ladies-in-Waiting.  Amazing place to visit.

She could go for a walk in Park Güell.

Güell park, designed by Antonio Gaudí is the most
famous park in Barcelona, declared a World Heritage
Site by UNESCO. It has been subject to all types of
praise and criticism, including comments such as
"outrageous modernism", "surrealistic island",
"nightmare expressionist park". First conceived as a
private estate, it became a public park in 1922. The
main entrance to the park and the stairway leading
to the Hundred Columns Room are structures where
Gaudí clearly let his imagination run free.

Whatever she does today, perhaps rest and relaxation could be at the top of her list?  I know that she has been working very hard lately to try to save money.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you daily Whytney!  Enjoy the last 36 days of making lifelong memories.  We know that you miss Kentucky - it will be here ready for you with open arms!
